WHAT I DO
I am endlessly drawn to what seems to be disregarded in this culture: 'junk', philosophy, handwriting, ephemera- seemingly obsolete items.
Inevitably, as I've aged my focus has been drawn to personal connections and how we relate to the world around us- that strange friction between our inner and outer worlds, and whether we can reconcile the two.
WHAT I'VE DONE
Overall, I have been in the art industry for 25 years now. In 2000, I became one of the founding members of the Holgas residency in Phoenix, AZ. I have exhibited frequently in Phoenix, and since 2015 I have been represented in Scottsdale as well.
I currently work in found objects and oil under the name Judith Ann Miller.
I also work in acrylic on panel and canvas, large and small scale under the name Judith Dauncey. This work is mostly abstract, but I've recently produced representational work for several healthcare projects.
I am represented by Art One Gallery in Scottsdale, and MonOrchid Gallery in Phoenix.
